TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment on the Pro-Forma Invoice constitutes a contract between the Company (I Found Africa) and all the people listed on the booking on whose behalf the party leader is acting, and constitutes acceptance of the booking terms and conditions set out below.

The following conditions, together with the relevant information set out, will form your contract with the Company, I Found Africa. Please read them carefully before you book.

Please note:
1. I Found Africa will book international flights on your behalf using an ATOL bonded agency. Your contract for your flights will then be protected with the travel agent booking the flights and not I Found Africa.

2. You further acknowledge that I Found Africa is acting as an agent only on behalf of its principles and is therefore not liable for loss, damage, accident, delay or inconvenience caused by any of its principles.

SECURING YOUR BOOKING
In order for I Found Africa to confirm your booking a deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. This excludes air travel which requires 100% payment upon booking as tickets have to be issued simultaneously.

The balance of payment is due 8 weeks (60 days) prior to the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) prior to departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation. Greater deposits may be required in instances of specialist product &/or peak season travel.  Failure to submit payment will result in your reservation automatically being cancelled.

PRICES AND PAYMENTS
You will be liable for the total confirmed prices, less any payments made by you. All payments must be made by bank transfer (electronic funds transfer) or credit card. You acknowledge that airlines reserve the right to levy additional or increased airport taxes and fuel charges – without notice – at any stage prior to flight and any such costs increased as a result of an increase effected by the airline will be for the Client’s account and shall be payable to I Found Africa or as otherwise instructed by the airlines. Government/National Bodies, concession owners and other such parties involved in the running of private or public natural parks reserve the right to levy additional or increased park fees – without notice – at any stage prior to arrival and any such costs increased as a result of an increase effected by such parties will be for the Client’s account.

CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
I Found Africa will make every effort to adhere to the confirmed itinerary. However we reserve the right to make changes where unavoidable due to circumstances beyond the control of I Found Africa. Where changes are significant – such as change of accommodation or transportation – I Found Africa undertakes to provide you with a reasonable alternative at no additional cost. Should you reject the reasonable alternative you will be entitled to choose an alternative. However any and all additional costs associated with your chosen alternative will be for your account.

Should you wish to make any changes to your booking I Found Africa will do all possible to accommodate your requested changes however we cannot guarantee this will be possible. In the event of such changes being made you will be liable for cancellation charges, the cost of booking the revised services and an administration fee of £50.00 per booking. In the occasional instance where I Found Africa is able to obtain waivers of cancellation fees &/or secure an ex-gratia refund from supplier I Found Africa will pass this on to you less the Service Fee. However I Found Africa makes no guarantees as to secure such waivers or refunds.

CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be advised in writing. Cancellations are effective on the day that they are received by I Found Africa. The following cancellation charges will be payable, depending on the number of days prior to departure the company receives your notice of cancellation.

  • Cancellation prior to 8 weeks of travel – Full 25% deposit is forfeited
  • Cancellation 8 – 4 weeks prior to travel – 50% of total cost is forfeited
  • Cancellation less than 4 weeks prior to travel – 100% of total cost is forfeited

Please note that certain of our suppliers’ cancellation policies may be more stringent than our above policy and therefore the Company holds the right to forward such additional cancellation charges onto the client should the instance occur. For further information regarding this please clarify with your Travel Consultant.

FLIGHTS
When booking flights I Found Africa requires a copy of all passengers’ passports. Airlines require the full names of passengers as printed on the passports and will not accept changes once tickets are issued. It is a security procedure which will ensure there are no discrepancies. I Found Africa accepts no responsibility for incorrect passport numbers or incorrect spelling of full names. Please ensure to provide accurate information to your I Found Africa Consultant.

WAIVER, INDEMNITY AND LIABILITY
You hereby consent to the risks inherent in “wildlife adventure travel”, and warrant that you are aware of such risks and undertakes the tours, safaris, wildlife and other excursions in connection with the services with full knowledge and appreciation thereof and at your own risk.

I Found Africa acts solely in the capacity of an agent for third parties and as such I Found Africa holds themselves free of responsibility or liability for any delays, loss or damages from any cause whatsoever including loss/ delay/damages/ dissatisfaction caused by third party products and services. I Found Africa shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any claim whatsoever as aforesaid, the Client acknowledging that, in the case of a defective product, it is unreasonable to expect I Found Africa to have discovered the product failure having regard to I Found Africa’s role in arranging access to the third party products and services on behalf of the Client.

MEDICAL INSURANCE
All clients are advised to take out comprehensive medical insurance covering them for personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment. Should you require assistance please speak to your travel consultant.

INOCULATION, IMMUNIZATION AND MEDICATION
You must ensure that you meet the immunisation, inoculation and medication regulations of various African countries. I Found Africa recommends you seek the advice of a medical practitioner. It is your obligation to ensure that you are medically fit to travel.

PASSPORTS AND CHILDREN
Please note that anyone traveling to Southern Africa must have at least two consecutive blank pages in their passport which lie side by side when the passport is open (i.e. a left and a right hand page). Passengers traveling to Southern Africa with passports which do not comply with these requirements, will either be stopped from boarding the aircraft or risk deportation on arrival in Southern Africa. In addition, a parent traveling with children, without the other parent, will need a letter of consent from the absent parent. The letter of consent must be certified by the police.

CANCELLATION BY THE COMPANY
If you fail to pay the balance of the holiday price at least 8 weeks (56 days) before departure, the Company will treat your booking as cancelled and levy the cancellation charges set out. If I Found Africa is obliged to cancel your holiday in any other circumstances before departure, the Company will use its best endeavours to offer alternative arrangements of equivalent or very closely similar standard and price, if available; travel arrangements of a lower standard and a refund of the difference in price; or will give you a full refund of all monies paid.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT
Any passports, visas, health certificates, Insurance, International Driving Licences and other travel documents required for the holiday must be obtained by the client, whose responsibility it remains to ensure that these are all in order and to meet any additional costs incurred (whether by the client or by I Found Africa on the clients behalf) as a result of failure to comply with such requirements. You are responsible to arrive at stated departure times and places and any loss or damage which you suffer through failure to do so lies with you. I Found Africa has no liability whatsoever to you through your failure to do so. The Foreign & Commonwealth Advice Unit may have issued information about your holiday destination. You are advised to check this information on BBC2 (Ceefax) page 470 onwards or on the Internet under the address http://www.fco.gov.uk/.

COMPLAINTS
Most problems can be rectified straight away if we know about them. If you have a complaint you must report it immediately and directly to the supplier (e.g. Hotel Manager), or the emergency contact numbers provided with your travel documents. If you fail to follow this procedure, this may affect your rights under this contract, as we have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem. If the problem cannot be resolved locally and you wish to complain, full details must be received in writing  within 30 days of return.
