On offer now enjoy this truly unique combination –  explore the pristine wilderness of the Kafue National Park in Zambia, encounter superb game in South Luangwa in Zambia and top it off with the ultimate relaxationon Likoma island, in Lake Malawi.

The itinerary combines outstanding eco-properties, Ila Safari Lodge and Kaya Mawa, with our preferred partner lodge Chikunto, situated in between Ila and Kaya, in one of the prime areas within South Luangwa National Park.

Ila Safari Lodge

Ila Safari Lodge is situated in the vast Kafue National Park. Despite being lesser known, this is the largest and oldest park in Zambia, and one of the last great expanses of remote and unspoiled wilderness in Africa. This unexplored gem of a park is enticing for its incredible diversity of wildlife and birds, its sheer quantity of big game and predators, and perhaps just as attractive, the absence of people. Ila features 10 state of the art luxury safari tents, each perched on its own deck reaching out over the banks of the Kafue River. All tents feature en- suite bathrooms and outside showers or baths.

Stunning location aside, you will be impressed with the Green Ethos practiced here. The lodge runs solely on solar power, the Boma has been built with sandbags, to minimize the use of cement, and Ila boasts being the very first lodge in Zambia to operate an eLandy – an electrified game-drive vehicle, creating zero emissions and offering a very special and noise free way of game viewing with minimal impact. An eBoat can also be found here to quietly cruise the Kafue River. Ila was mentioned by National Geographic last year, as one of the top 10 destinations in Africa to visit!

Chikunto

Chikunto Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the iconic South Luangwa National Park, located approximately 60 minutes’ drive from Mfuwe airport. Set along the banks of the mighty Luangwa River at Big Bend, the owner- run lodge offers guests an authentic encounter of the area, underpinned by responsible tourism practices. Accommodating twelve guests and comprising of just five luxury tents, one of which is a two-bedroomed family tent, there is more to this property than meets the eye. The lap pool offers a unique counter flow system for those who wish to do more than just cool off!

Kaya Mawa

Kaya Mawa is a stunning beach lodge on Likoma Island in Malawi. Just like Ila Safari Lodge, Kaya Mawa is situated in an ultra-pristine part of the world. Kaya Mawa offers a truly unique experience. The island offers golden sandy beach on the immense freshwater Lake Malawi. A plethora of watersports are available as well as scuba diving, quad biking, local culture and some of the tastiest food In Africa. The lodge has won numerous awards, notably most romantic safari property and best beach lodge in Africa, endorsed by leading publishers such as Conde Naste, Safari Awards, Tatler etc. for many years in a row.

At Kaya you’ll be staying in one of our Premium Villas, with its own private pool, secluded and overlooking the beautiful beach.
