- The beaches along Lake Malawi make you feel like you are on a tropical island even though you are in a landlocked country in Africa. Lake Malawi covers a fifth of the country and is absolutely beautiful.
- Diving and snorkelling in the Lake are brilliant. The water is crystal clear and warm.
- Malawi is not a big safari destination however Liwonde National Park is a unique reserve. It is set on a river so you can see large herds of elephant, crocodiles and big hippo pods. The birding is also great!
- The tea plantations of Thyolo are a wonderfully relaxing place to visit and great for walking and learning about how tea is made.
