On foot, from a vehicle or on horseback, watching the animals and birds becomes a ritual. Some guests prefer to stay active, others prefer some quiet bird watching, or just want to spend time relaxing on their verandah, taking in the stunning African views. Every day takes its own shape.

Within 4 hours drive of Cape Town there are a few game reserve but not many that are worth mentioning. If you have the time I would recommend trying to get up to the Kruger Park, Madikwe or one of the Eastern Cape game reserves.
