The Great Escape – Staycation now, Africa later

It’s been a challenging 2020 so far with many unpredictable changes. I hope you and your families are keeping safe and managing with our new way of life.
I have been juggling, as I am sure many of you have, being a mum to three small kids, home schooling, keeping sane and running a business. It has not been easy but it is starting to feel like there is some light at the end of the tunnel and people are becoming more optimistic about travelling again in the future. Personally, I cannot wait!
Travel to Africa may take some time to recover before international travellers feel comfortable travelling again and restrictions are lifted. It is still a good time to plan ahead though and we are slowly seeing the enquiries creeping in.
There are more and more incredible deals on offer at the moment for travel anytime until the end of 2021. Many lodges are offering ‘once in a lifetime’ rates and flexible booking so you can amend dates anytime. If you would like any information on these offers please get in touch. For now, the best advise I can give is to look for good staycation ideas. I Found Africa is a partner of 360 Private Travel which gives me access to some of the best deals in and around the UK and the world. There are fantastic villa options, private homes and luxury hotels that I can book for you for travel from July onwards (or when lockdown restrictions are lifted).
Private jets are also in great demand and I have some really good offers available. Most airports have terminals dedicated for private air travel and since you only need to arrive 20 minutes before your flight departs, social distancing is very possible.
In other really good news, Iceland is opening up and welcoming travellers from the middle of June. Everyone entering the country will be tested for Covid-19 and then be able to carry on with their travel plans. Maybe this will be the new norm when we are travelling…
